I just watched a marketing video. It scared the crap out of me. Why? This new jersey home based business owner knows from experience “when possibility is in the room, probability goes out the window.”~~Jason Zweig
All of a sudden we become fools of the what if syndrome. What if it was true? What if it did work? What if I was able to pay off my credit cards? What if we could finally take a family vacation? What If I can live the life I see in my head?
So we put all our financial resources into one basket
and put it all at risk just because we are told we can get rich quick.
Don’t you remember the very first time you saw someone present to you the opportunity, maybe on a napkin , maybe on a chalk board, you thought to your self, “what if”? You saw your financial worries being swept away and your rational thought went right along with it. You were going to build a home based business and this person has your ticket to freedom. You threw caution to the wind. Because the what if’s were just to damn tempting. Those what if’s gave you hope, made you feel good again.
The gurus know this. Why? They were there too. And most of them couldn’t make the BIG bucks with the MLM they were with so they jumped on board the leadership train and started to teach what it takes to be successful, all along faking it until they made it. How you ask, they made you believe in your what if’s again so to purchase their
magic bullet. Because they know you are thinking “What If” this is the missing piece I need to finally be successful?
And so you buy, others buy and now these gurus become successful at selling you your own dream and in the process they “make it”. Cha Ching the sound of cold hard cash that makes life so grand to them and somehow in their greedy little minds they are justified at leading you and many others down the road deceit. And as if that wasn’t enough they become iconic out there because they get bigger and bigger, fatter and fatter and all you fools I mean folks keep buying into their hype. (I’m NOT judging you I did it too)!!
Hype sells. Like Jason Zweig says “when possibility enters the room, probability goes out the window”.
I call this wrong.
Back to the video I just watched. This well revered guru is now promoting his new hot deal and to grab your attention and prey on your what if’s BIG time he is promoting gloom and doom for the worlds financial picture.
He is now going to let you all in to the secret black box of how the rich invest. He pours it on real thick too.
I’m sitting there and I’m thinking “oh my God, people will go into their pockets and pay this guy for a chance to have their stake at wealth, because if they don’t..All the what if’s come flooding in.
Seven years ago this guy was a nobody in the home based business arena, now he is financial guru telling his loyal followers and anyone else he can “get” that he is now a financial expert. He even snickers, chuckles really that some folks will lose everything. Give me a break! Not only does he look ruthless it’s all hype-ity scare tactics.
Hype, hype, hype, no thank you, no thank you, no thank you!
Listen, I’m not your typical new jersey home based business “guru” I am not on the inside playing like the rest. I am not going to gouge your eyes out and have you dig into your pockets just so I can become a gazillionaire and then tell myself “it’s their responsibility to do their homework”
My governing philosophy is worth repeating:
“The trained mind knows that every transaction must benefit every person who is in any way connected with the transaction, and any attempt to profit by the weakness, ignorance, or necessity of another will inevitably operate to his disadvantage!” ~~Charles F. Haanel
Now, although it doesn’t appear that this guy is operating at a disadvantage, mark my word Karma IS a bitch.
Remember what “they” say.. “what goes around comes around”. It may not be today or tomorrow, it may take
30 years but folks who operate in this way will get theirs. And they will have deserved it. Sad but true.
Building a new jersey home based business should NEVER be at the expense of another’s weakness or ignorance.
Peace,
JoAnn

Because my husband follows trends and dumped his stocks I wanted him to watch the video you are talking about. About two minutes in he said- “I know what they are going to do- ask you to buy gold/silver and they will tell you when, where and how. This isn’t news and this isn’t the answer.” I don’t think it will hurt any substantial numbers for a couple of reasons. First the people that could benefit the most don’t have the money to invest and second, people are getting hip to giving up their money to internet gurus just because they claim to make big bucks. I have to give the credit for taking the current circumstances and slant it to lead to a solution they “discovered”. If nothing else it is a perfect illustration of the training and experience they gained marketing online and giving it additional strength by joint ventures and sharing their list of followers. It is up to us to ensure that others are aware of the potential damage and offer alternative solutions and additional information. Every voice can make a difference. Ethical marketers face the challenge to give the industry image the shift it needs if we are to survive as a nation built on the freedom to live our dreams.

Hey Bonnie,
So nice of you to stop by! Thanks
One person hurt by this is to much. Whatever happen to united we stand divided we fall.
You can bet your bottom dollar the line in the sand has been drawn. You either buy or you don’t.
And the sad part is that either side you choose most will fall.
This new “hot deal” from waiter to MLM coach Guru to now a financial expert….REALLY?
The presentation is for the birds, (my opinion) You know what would be better? Instead of saying you helped entrepreneurs and you have a newsletter that goes out to over a million (that’s a lot of people putting faith in a guy who “claims”) How about sharing with the world how many people still use your program? Or how about this, How many made money from your program? I asked that question oh don’t you know, They shut down the post, took it off the net, they had to my question was there for the world to see. I was only asking a question. Don’t tell me how much money you made. That does not impress me much UNLESS….
you can tell me because of you others have done it too. Now I’m listening.
If the million of people who watch him will remember back they will see he is using the same “techniques”
he used to drive sales of the Magnetic Sponsoring hoopla.
It’s just more of the same, these very smart marketers have found their niche alright…
it’s called make money at the EXPENSE of other’s. If you want in I’ll show you how and together
we can make boat loads of money.
Like I said this video scared the crap out of me. I know people will get burned by this. Our financial crisis is one to be understood and researched but certainly
not by a guy who has been making millions of dollars for his own personal gain, not caring about the good salt of the earth people who end up here hoping to find a solution to their own financial crisis. Shame on them.
See ya around,
JoAnn
